Christmas Decorating here on the Farm

I hope everyone enjoyed time with their families eating wonderfully big yummy meals!  I know I sure did!  With that came the start of Christmas decorating.  I always like to start in the house before getting the tree.  It just seems a little more relaxing once the tree gets here and that is the ONLY thing left to decorate.  And if your kids are anything like me, everything is out of the boxes and bins within……10 minutes.  Which seems to make it easier to start putting stuff where you want them.  Here is what we did around the house….

The new mantel is quickly put to use!  Nothing says a cozy Christmas like a decorated mantel with lights and a red cozy blanket.

I love adding a mirror on the walls to be able to add a wreath.  I use either a over-the-door hook or a 3m hook on the glass to hang a beautiful full wreath.

Candle sticks and lights.  I had to add a few small books to add height to some of the smaller pieces.

This old shutter is ready for Christmas cards!  It’s green and chippy and can hold a lot of cards and I just love it!  One of my favorite pieces in the house.

My little Christmas made over coffee station.  Complete with a Santa sign and Santa himself.

Adding a little greenery along with the Baby’s 1st Christmas sign I made last year.  You can find it here.

Dried green hydrangeas fit anywhere anytime of year.

Now onto the rest of the porch.  The hubby got the electrical finished on the porch, so here come LOTS of lights and other décor!
